INDIA: Humayun's Tomb, Delhi

Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi, built in 1570, is often said to have inspired the design of the Taj Mahal. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture, set within a serene, symmetrical garden, the first of its kind in the Indian subcontinent. Approaching through the grand stone archway, the pathway unfolds toward the striking red sandstone and white marble structure, framed by graceful palm trees. The atmosphere is calm and contemplative, making it the perfect place to slow down and soak in the history. I found it even more captivating than the Taj Mahal.
